Pam Ayres MBE is often described as the nation's favourite poet and combines comedy and songwriting in her performances to hilarious but also striking effect. Many people will remember how Pam rose to fame; on an episode of Opportunity Knocks in 1975 but she then went on to carve out a career as both a performer on stage and TV as well as a regular on TV and radio shows.

 

She continues to tour the UK with her one woman show and regularly published poetry collections including, most recently You Made Me Late Again, a collection of 50 illustrated poems.
